He is thin built however has some muscle from when he use to work as a cop. He has stubble with a small strip on his chin. He is rather pale and does not tan easily. He wears piercings in his ear, lip and nose and rarely finds a point it taking them out due to no longer being a cop. He has tattoos covering his upper chest and has half sleeves.

PERSONALITY: Spike is quite confident and likes to go straight to the point on what he wants. He can be intimidating and often plays that card when he feels threatened or annoyed. He likes to get his way or get answers to questions. He is a focused individual who knows how to shoot a gun however prefers using a knife as it attracts less walkers. He can be seen as quite cocky and arrogant as well as a show off. He is more of an outdoor person than indoor. Generally he is someone who will chat to anyone, not necessary trusting them but it is better than being lonely.

HISTORY: Spike grew up in Germany and moved to Athens, Georgia when he was 13 years old. His mother left when they were born, no one in his family speaks of her. His dad worked as a computer consultant and had a side job as a drug dealer, something his older brother Rico got involved in when he was 18. Spike worked hard at school, knowing he wanted to be in the police as a field officer, someone not stuck behind the desk. He was quite popular in his year however he did have a few enemies who he often fought with. When he left school he went to the police academy where he graduated and began working in the police. He decided to follow the job due to the way his father and brother turned out. He often portrayed the bad cop due to his intimidation technique.
Spike lived by himself, he did not like the idea of commitment or long term plans to stay with anyone. He often flirted with men and women alike, partying on the weekend but never hungover before a work day. His life was stable, he lived for the moment and had no real future plans and enjoyed life each day. The day of the Walker outbreak Spike had been in Atlanta working. He was one of the first on call to investigate what seemed like cannibalism in the street. Whatever it was he took a shot at after the Walker charged at him, it did not seem right to him. Spike did not stay to hang around. His dad had been jailed earlier that year for taking part in a very expensive drug deal, his brother Rico had been locked up alongside him. He had not seen nor heard from them until he drove passed the prison to see if his dad was alive, witnessing him as a Walker and leaving. He did not see Rico.
Spike at the beginning lived in houses and in loneliness. He had very little on him when he went into hiding, only for a few hours whilst he tried finding somewhere a little more safe. Often the loneliness got to him and he was tempted to throw himself to the Walkers and join them like everyone else. He already tried suicide near the beginning and was ready to carry on surviving, taking risks to try finding anyone. When walking along the roads he sometimes felt like he was the only person alive. His torment was over when he hid a rail track, a place of safety called Terminus. His spirits lifted and he began his journey over.
As he arrived at Terminus he cried when he saw other survivors, not knowing it was possible. Whilst in Terminus he takes night watch and goes on runs when he can. They often help as many people as they can. Spike is more relaxed and often questions newcomers to go to Terminus. It seems his main nightmare is over and he is glad he has a place to call home.
