PERSONALITY:
This Southerner looks tough. He has a bad temper and doesn't fail to speak his mind. However, if you can manage to get past all that he can, without a doubt, be one your best choices to have your back. Daryl is willing to help out. He grew up hunting and continues to do that for his new 'family'. Though he would deny it, Daryl has become a protector and has a soft spot for children. With all of this said, you'd do best not to forget that Daryl can only be pushed so far before he'll snap at a person. He does not take kindly to being made to look like a fool. Daryl normally has a serious demeanor but if you pay attention, you'll catch the occasional joke or small smile.
FAMILY:
Will Dixon (father; deceased)
Elizabeth Dixon (mother; deceased)
Merle Dixon (brother)
HISTORY:
Daryl and his brother Merle grew up in a house with an abusive and alcoholic father. Merle really raised his brother...when he wasn't in jail. Daryle got used to being along. He prefers it now. When the apocalypse started, Daryl and Merle took care of each other. They headed to Atlanta like everyone else seemed to be doing. It was quickly overrun.
Upon fleeing the city, the brothers ended up with the group of survivors and joined them to found a camp. Daryl became one of the hunters for the group. Killing Walkers and finding food. He first met Rick when Rick returned with Glenn and the group from scavenging for supplies in Atlanta. It was not the best first meeting as this was when Daryl found out the the team had left Merle handcuffed to a roof. He, Rick, Glenn, and T-Dog soon head back into the city to rescue Merle, only to find his severed hand in the place where he had been left. Daryl grieved for his brother for a short time before managing to bottle up his emotions as he always had.
After the camp site is attacked by walkers, Daryl helps to burn the dead and they pack up and move on. The next stop is the CDC. They think there may be a way to stop the apocalypse but only find Dr. Jenning who is suicidal and decides to take them all with him. They only get out because of a grenade Carol saved for Rick. After the CDC, the Rv breaks sown on the highway. While looking for parts and savaging what they can from cars, a group of Walkers pass through. Carol's daughter is separated from the group and Daryl goes looking for her. He spends hours searching always thinking that she is alive. This is also when Daryl starts to form a bond with Carol.
Daryl takes one of Hershel's horses once they reach the far after Carl is shot. He continues to search and finds Sophia's doll. When a snake spooks the horse, Daryl is thrown down a hillside and he is wounded by one of his crossbow bolts. He hallucinates Merle taunting him and criticizing him for joining Rick's group and searching for Sophia but not him. Daryl manages to climb the hill and stagger back to the farm. Andrea mistakes him for a walker and shoots him, grazing him in the head and knocking him unconscious. When he wakes up, Carol befriends him and encourages him to think better of himself.
It is found later that Sophia was killed by Walker's and locked in Hershel barn, Daryl is there to hold and comfort Carol. However, withdraws from the others not wanting to waste his time with anything else. He has become emotionally detached from everyone and refuses to go out looking for people anymore. He feels that he had failed in finding Sophia alive. That starts to change again however while they are still at the farm. Daryl helps Rick by killing Dale when he has been attacked by a Walker. The farm is eventually over run by Walkers ant Daryl flees with Carol on the bike. Carol wants to continue on just the two of them but Daryle heads back to the highway to try and meet up with the others. He doesn't want to be separated from them. This is when they come upon the prison and when the story begins.

SAMPLE POST
The bike rumbled under him ad it roared along the road. The sun was high in the sky and beating down on his bare arms. Daryl could feel Carol's arms around his waist and found that they felt nice there. Almost like they belonged around him but Daryl would not let himself focus on that thought. She wasn't for him. At least not in his eyes. That was not what life was about anymore. Daryl was following the rv. There were a few cars behind him. The good thing about having a motorcycle was that he was free to go where the others couldn't. He could scope out the road ahead if there was a block in the road.
That was what happened now. A crash up ahead. God only knew how long ago. Daryl came around the rear of the rv and up along the drivers side. He paused at the drivers window. "We'll scope it out and see whats ahead." He said and then moved forward. The bike fit easily on the curb on soft dirt curb of the road and he moved around the cluster of cars. He could see the dead occupants in some of the vehicles. Not a pleasant sight and he did not focus on them. None so far seemed to be Walkers so that was a plus. There had to be at least twenty cars in the crash but after that there seemed to be smooth sailing for as far as he could see. There were cars in the ditch but that was all. As soon as he had room he turned the bike around and head back to the rv.
Having dismounted, the first thing to do was search the cars for any supplies and then push the vehicles off the road. They had to make room for the rv to get through. Daryl swung his crossbow over his shoulder and headed for the first car cautiously. The hood was locked and he would have to go to the drivers side of the car to reach in and pop the hood.
