Significant Other: None (Surprisingly) Home Town: Seattle Washington How Many Walkers Have You Killed?: I stopped counting ages ago... How Many People?: ....And I suppose you want me to hang a noose around my neck too, huh?
Mel came trotting downhill, with a map in one hand and her gun in another. She'd headed out in hope of scavenging, others had tried to go with her but she insisted to go on her own. They'd only get in her way anyhow and she couldn't afford to be responsible for their deaths if something were to go wrong. She'd wandered a long ways from Terminus in search of some sort of food. They'd run quite low and it was highly problematic, if they ran out of food, they ran out of hope.
She'd gotten slightly irritated with a few back at Terminus, they'd gotten nippy with her for turning down food. Of course she was grateful but there were others who could use it more. Than you had the greedy assholes whom would hide food and keep for themselves. She'd quickly given them a piece of her inner thoughts.
Her trigger finger had a devilish itch, of course she wouldn't blow any heads off today. Not unless necessary, but she was determined to keep hostilities to a minimum if Mel were to run into others. She stopped to pop another CD in her headphones, It was Dog Teeth by Nicole Dollanganger...Sad but beautiful song in her personal opinion.
She kept the music to a minimum so she could hear her surroundings but a little music was necessary for her and others wellbeing.
She just hoped her manual instincts wouldn't override her goodwill.

Robert was out searching for items that could be used, of course he keep on guard much could happen out here and he was not close enough to the prison he could make a run for it if anything went wrong. He could make out the building if he looked yet he wanted to keep more on guard he did not wish death and he knew that it was not an option he had Mia waiting for him to come back to keep her safe. He figured others would see she keep safe yet it was not the same he thought of her in many ways as his own so he was not going to just roll over and die.
He happen to look up just making out Melody yet he did not know here or her name. He moved to stop before moving into some cover he decided to watch her to see why she was here or if others where with her he did not wish to get caught by those that would kill him and out here one never knew if others would kill them. He learned early some groups could not be trusted or just people who you had to be careful of for they where in simple words crazy.
Robert looked around once more seeing no one else or any walkers before he turned his focus back to Melody as he just watched her, if nothing else he would let her pass by before he went on his way. He might speak with her yet now he was more just up for letting her pass unless he saw reason to change his mind, he keep his gun in hand ready if need be his knife was in quick reach of his other hand if need be.

Melody looked up, she had thought she heard something. It was practically dead silent besides the faint chirping of birds. She hoped she wouldn't have to waste any bullets today, if anything she could use her scythe. She shrugged and went back to reading the map, hopefully she'd be able to bring something back to her group, if she didn't it would make her look like a fool. She shoved her gun in her holster and opened the map, incase of an emergency she could quickly grab her gun or her scythe.
She sighed, reading maps never was her thing. She didn't really care for the people in her group, yet she tried her best to keep them alive...it was unusual of her to do so much for anyone but herself. Maybe she was avoiding loneliness, or trying to escape her own guilt by tending to someone else wellbeing. Either way she was going to have to go further out of her way to find supplies. "God fucking dammit!" She muttered. The next town was miles out of her reach, she'd try there anyhow but it was irritating.
She grumbled and stuffed the map in her pocket, continuing on her way.

Robert heard words he thought of speaking out to her yet he watched a bit longer to see that he saw no one else before he moved keeping some distance as he spoke allowing his voice to carry "A bit lost dearie?" He made sure to know where cover was if he had to take it quickly, he had not idea to know what she would do or if it would just be a shoot first ask questions later.
His body was all on edge for he did not know what would happen, so he felt his body getting worked up over it getting ready for the unknown. He was ready to grab his gun if need or knife if she got to close yet he was more up for using his gun for it would give him distance to take her out if need be. Robert also keep himself open should any walkers show up something he did not wish to see right now for it would be really bad timing not that anytime was a good time.

"Holy shit!" She jumped at his voice, her headphones falling off her head. Instinctively she pulled out her gun and pointed it in the direction of his voice. Even if she had no intention of shooting him, she couldn't be sure he wouldn't harm her. "Show yourself!" She commanded, flicking off the safety just incase.
She wasn't new to pressing the trigger, she'd know how to if it came to that. If he made any wrong choices she wouldn't even hesitate to blow his head off at seconds notice. She wouldn't feel a thing over it either. He'd scared the shit out of her, she was close to pulling the trigger right there and than. She wouldn't risk the sound unless it was completely necessary. She hoped she wouldn't have to, with every bone in her body. Even so...
He'd better watch himself if he wants to leave alive.

Robert heard her words at her actions he moved for cover, with her second words he was not so trusting that this was the best idea he eve had he could see he glance around the large tree he was at the base of she had a gun a warning to be careful. He could not say she would not shot him just because if he showed himself, he moved to grab his gun just encase he did not want to have to go for it when in need of it. "I think not dearie, would hate getting shot just because you get to twitchy"
He did not feel like moving unless he must he did not want to blow his cover yet he likely already did, but he would keep close to the tree he was now to block blow if she shot. "Tell you want how about you set down your gun and I do not have the others with me see your actions as a threat to shot at you" He did not know if his bluff would work, if not well she might just still shot him or she might call him on it something he had no way to prove others where with him.

She started getting irritated, but even so this guy didn't seem completely stupid. She was indeed a bit twitchy and it probably was smart not to stand in front of her especially after he'd startled her.
She scoffed "Fine, but you fucking pull anything I'll make sure you don't get away without a mouthful of led." Her tone wasn't as aggressive as it sound, matter of fact it was calmer than you'd expect. She didn't move, her gun still positioned in the same direction. She wasn't sure how dangerous this man was, fortunately for him she couldn't get an angle on him without moving.
"Oh sure! And while I'm at it I suppose you want me to set my stuff down and wave my arms around so you can fucking shoot me. I'm not stupid, asshole." This time she was genuinely annoyed and the distinct tone of her voice sounded as it was meant. She was prepared to do anything necessary to defend herself, even if that meant drawing some attention.

Robert heard her words yet he held his ground looking to see what she was doing, yet with her last he wanted to cruse yet he did not for he did not want her to know it was bluffing. He had to chuckle with her words as well "No reason for a game of name calling other wise we will be here all day. No you do not have to do any of that, besides if I wanted to shot you I could have already when you being distracted listening to your music"
He moved to glance at her before he spoke "How about this dearie, we both put away are weapons so we can speak like normal people who way neither of use has to worry about a mouthful of lead?" He waited for her words he did not dare move now he was in a good spot, yet even if she lowered her gun and put it away she would not shot at him.

Melody sighed, She knew she shouldn't have worn her headphones outside of Terminus. Fucking idiot. She scolded herself and kicked the dirt. 'You think other people are stupid city girl, yet you can't manage to keep your headphones off...' Next time she'd leave her music at Terminus.
She narrowed her eyes at him and thought over his offer. "Okay fine, but you first." If it came to it she could always use her Scythes, so the gun was a minor concern right now. She still considered wither not to just fire a couple of bullets and collect his shit once he was dead. That would give her something to bring back...but it wasn't a completely smart choice. He didn't look as if he was with anyone else, but despite that he could have a group...
What a debatable situation...In all likeliness she wouldn't risk shooting him.

Robert was not happy to hear her words yet he had little choice if he ran form where he was he might be picked off killed or worse left to die and have a walker attack him. He put up his gun yet made sure he could get it if need be, he had his knife as well if he needed it. He slowly rose form where he was let alone she take a shot at him. Moving form the tree he slowly moved her way, not wanting to set her off yet also not wanting to get to far from cover if it was needed. Once he felt he was close enough he spoke "So you have not shot me yet, a good sign I take it?"
He watched her close though he was not well trusting to start with and after everything it was less so. "As I said before are you lost?" He would see what she said before he went on about anything yet he did not know if she was alone or had those that would come looking for her.

Melody rolled her eyes and shoved her gun into a holster. "Now was that so fucking hard?" She crossed her arms. "Don't think I haven't considered shooting you multiple times." She had, and frankly a couple of times she'd been set on killing Robert but changed her mind last minute. He was a lucky bastard that's for sure.
Mel had her scythes which she could easily go for, she kept an eye on Robert incase he was dumbass enough to try anything.
"Lost? Maybe. I can't read maps worth shit and the next town is miles out of reach." She said in annoyance. Her patience was running thin, she needed to get moving again if she were to be back by dusk. She wouldn't be able to spend the night out here in the woods...if she must she'd sleep in an abandoned structure or in a tree...God she hated climbing. Whatever it takes to survive...

Robert heard her words he smirked with her first words "Yes, for was not sure if you would not shot me. I am flattered you did not shot me than" He listened to her words "Perhaps you just need to make sure you have a compass to that to help you reading the map. Where are you heading? The town I know if is that way"
Robert pointed to where he had come form "You can just make it out form here" He did not know if he was heading that way or some where else and he was watchful of her should she try anything, he enjoyed fighting he would not if he did not have to yet he was trained to enjoy it. He did not mind helping her with map reading yet he did not want to get to close right now, for he did not know what she would do.

"I'm starting to regret not shooting you in the first place..." She sniffled, and shifted slightly. "Okay..whats the catch? Why are you helping me." Melody knew better than anyone that everyone came with a price. The food you eat, the water you drink, anything and everything has some sort of catch. She waited for him to name his price, giving Robert her best poker face. Mel wasn't use to taking help from anyone and especially not old-men. She usually wasn't this aggressive towards newcomers but she hadn't killed him and he'd scared her. He seemed like an intelligent man, despite how annoying he was. Mel just prayed he wouldn't lead her into some sort of trap...

Robert heard her words "Is that flattery I hear?" Yet with her other words he looked at her "Catch?" He raised an eyebrow at her "Why would their be a catch, it is how to read a map?" He was surprised she thought he would want something, well perhaps in this world it might be how things worked more yet to tell her how to read a map was not something he wanted anything for other than not to get shot.
That would be nice yet he figured if se was going to she already would have it was more a bluff now of her being upset or something. With that he waited to see what she would say yet of course to help her read a map if he showed her with a compass he would need to get his knife that had on it, without having to dig all threw his bad.

Melody just started at him, with a 'I'm going to fucking kill you' look on her face and a dangerous twinkle in her eyes. She sighed and put a hand on her hip, her look disappearing and what replaced it was almost worse, her face portrayed a sly, unsettling look.
"Don't flatter yourself sweetheart." She smirked coolly even If she did want to slap him for his stupid comment.
"There's a price to everything, especially for help and especially in these days." She stated and looked him in the eyes. "No one just walks up to a stranger and offers to help, expecting nothing in return...So what do you want? Food? Water? Ammo?" Mel waited for a reply, she had an itch to get moving. She was burning daylight as they spoke.
